This EG Hard Gear 18:1 NGRS set is specifically designed for Tokyo Marui’s Next Generation Electric Gun (NGRS) gearboxes. Additionally, the gear set features a 10-tooth anti-reversal latch that significantly improves semi-auto shooting response.
 
The Next Generation Electric Gun series is renowned for its realistic recoil shock, mimicking the firing experience of real firearms. However, this realistic recoil also introduces additional stress on various components, unlike traditional electric guns.
 
As a result, routine maintenance, including the replacement of worn or damaged parts, is increasingly essential, similar to maintaining a real firearm.
 
Among the components that endure the highest stress are the gears and piston sections, which simultaneously power the recoil engine. Compared to standard electric guns, the lifespan of these parts in NGRS models can be reduced by half or even a quarter (based on internal tests).
 
After extensive testing and analysis of normal durability data, this gear set was developed. The team experimented with various combinations of materials, processing methods, and durability-enhancing treatments such as carburizing, high-frequency hardening, and shot peening. The result is a gear set that is perfectly suited for use in recoil-engine-equipped next-generation models.
